How much does a wedding in Cyprus cost?
The legal fees, the venue, food and drinks, flowers, music and the church: what each part of a wedding in Cyprus costs, so you can plan a realistic budget for 2027 and 2028.
There is no single price for a wedding in Cyprus. A civil ceremony for two at a town hall and a three-day celebration for three hundred guests are both Cyprus weddings. What sets the budget is the number of guests, the venue, the season and the day of the week. These are the costs couples tell us about, and the published prices behind them. All figures are in euros and were checked in late 2026; most suppliers raise their prices a little each year.
The legal wedding. Every municipality charges the same two government fees for a civil marriage: about €128 if you marry fifteen days or more after giving notice, and about €282 for the special licence that lets you marry within a few days of arriving, which most destination couples use. A copy of the marriage certificate is around €14 to €15. A ceremony at a hotel or another venue outside the town hall adds a fee to the municipality, usually a few hundred euros, and Saturdays or ceremonies outside office hours cost more again. Some municipalities, including Akamas (Peyia and Coral Bay), only hold weddings on weekdays.
Paperwork from the UK. Each of you needs a statutory declaration of single status, a few pounds at a solicitor, and the UK documents need an apostille from the Foreign Office, currently £45 per document on the standard service. Most UK couples spend between £100 and £200 on paperwork before they leave. Documents in English or Greek do not need translating. Our guide to whether a Cyprus wedding is legal in the UK explains the steps.
Historic venues. A civil wedding at Paphos Castle, Limassol Castle or Larnaca Castle costs about €1,500 for the venue, on top of the municipality fees, and the Traditional House on Fabrica Hill in Paphos about €1,000. Guests are limited to thirty and the ceremony to two hours.
The venue and the reception. This is the largest part of any budget. Hotels and estates charge for the ceremony space, from a few hundred euros at a village venue to €1,000–€4,000 for the best lawns and piers of the luxury resorts, then for the reception per guest. A three-course dinner costs roughly €55 to €110 per person, and a four-hour drinks package €40 to €75 per person, depending on the venue. Many hotels reduce the venue hire when the couple and their guests stay for several nights.
Planner and coordination. Most hotels include a wedding coordinator for a fee of a few hundred euros. An independent planner for the whole wedding costs from under €1,000 for an elopement to €3,000 or more for a large wedding.
Flowers and styling. A bouquet starts at around €50 to €150, a ceremony arch from about €150 for simple styling to €1,500 or more in fresh flowers, and the full flowers and decoration for a large reception from about €3,000.
Hair, make-up and music. Bridal hair and make-up is about €130 each, or around €300 for a package with trials. A DJ costs from about €450, a solo musician or duo for the ceremony €250 to €750, and a string quartet around €1,500.
Cake, cars and the little things. A one-tier cake starts at about €150 and a five-tier cake can pass €500. A wedding car costs €150 to €800. A symbolic ceremony led by a celebrant is about €400 to €600.
Church weddings. Anglican and Catholic weddings in Paphos cost roughly €700 to €800 for the church, and couples from abroad still need the town hall licence. For a Greek Orthodox wedding the church does not publish a fee; ask your parish priest early.
A Cypriot wedding. Local weddings are on another scale: a 2026 survey of Cypriot event professionals put a wedding of 180 to 250 guests at €18,000 to €25,000 on a modest budget, €28,000 to €40,000 in the middle, and €45,000 to €70,000 at the top, with an average of about €30,000. Many traditional weddings are far bigger than that.
What makes the difference. July and August are the dearest months and Saturdays cost more than weekdays almost everywhere. May, September and October are kinder to the budget and, in our experience, give the most beautiful light. Every extra guest adds food, drinks and favours, so the guest list is always the biggest lever.
Your guests. Destination weddings in Cyprus usually have between forty and a hundred guests travelling for several days. A UK guest spends close to £2,000 on average to attend a wedding abroad, so many couples choose a venue with rooms on site and announce the date a year ahead.
Photography and film. Every wedding is quoted on its own, around your date, hours and coverage. Our wedding photography prices page explains what changes the price and how booking works.
